About the database
The Database of UPR Recommendations and Voluntary Pledges brings together documentation produced by the Universal Periodic Review (UPR), a mechanism of the Human Rights Council through which all UN member states evaluate each other’s human rights record. It was developed by UPR Info and updated with support from HURIDOCS.
You can search for recommendations and voluntary pledges by various criteria, including human rights issue, response of the country in question, the type and specificity of action being recommended, the state, regional group or organisation making the recommendation, the state under review, and more.
The database is available in English and French.
