Action on Albinism
Tracking the implementation of the AU Plan of Action to end attacks and other human rights violations targeting persons with albinism.
About the database
Action on Albinism is a platform that tracks the implementation of the Regional Action Plan on Albinism, a mechanism that aims to eradicate discrimination and violence against persons with albinism in Sub-Saharan Africa. It was developed by the UN Independent Expert on the enjoyment of human rights by persons with albinism with support from HURIDOCS.
The platform contains information about the Regional Action Plan, a library of resources pertaining to albinism, indicators and maps illustrating how much progress a country has made on various measures of prevention, accountability, protection, and equality and non-discrimination.
It is available in English, French and Portuguese.
