The Uwazi project lifecycle

We support you with your data, every step of the way

Our team is ready to support your data management needs from start to finish. Every project follows a structured path designed around each partner’s needs and expertise, and is shaped together at every stage.

Phase 1

Project initiation

This phase is all about getting to know you and your needs to ensure we are the right fit. The we move forward with a secure survey and a scoping meeting that leads to a signed agreement to work together.

Phase 2

Needs assessment

This phase consists of a kick-off meeting, followed by in-depth discovery workshop sessions to have a shared understanding of the documentation needs. This phase lays the groundwork before implementation begins and includes a detailed findings report.

Phase 3

Project implementation

Phase 3 includes bespoke data modeling and Uwazi configuration. Depending on the project, it may also include data migration, web design, advanced features, and tool integration. This phase ends with onboarding, training and capacity building, as needed.

Phase 4

Project closure

Every project closes with a structured handover process that sets you up to work independently, with our support always available.

we provide tailored and flexible support

Accompaniment and support developing digital literacy skills

To provide tailored accompaniment and support, HURIDOCS employs a flexible approach that responds to the specific contexts, needs and digital literacy skills of our partners.

CAPACITY BUILDING

Digital competence

We support partners who are skilled in gathering information from the field but have no prior experience with databases and documentation tools to achieve their advocacy goals.

Our initial training on documentation practices, databases and data modelling has proven to be very useful before embarking on data management and Uwazi training.

GOAL-ORIENTED

Digital usage

We support partners who have prior experience inworking with documentation tools. We investigate why they are seeking alternative solutions and what they lack in their current processes.

Our collaboration is towards understanding their goals and analysing their current documentation methodologies and workflows to determine a better solution going forward.

KNOWLEDGE ELEVATION

Digital transformation

We support partners who are proficient with documentation technology, security protocols and innovative AI tools. Data collection, cleaning, analysis, visualisation and reporting are already part of their workflows.

We aim to empower teams so that each member is equipped to manage complex tasks with an equal skills set.

RESTRICTIVE ENVIRONMENTS

Limited / restricted internet access

We support partners who operate in areas with limited or restricted internet access. With the Tella app, our partners can collect and preserve data using mobile phones and tablets in a secure way. Tella connects directly to an Uwazi database and users can collect data in a structured way (photos, audio, video, forms, surveys) while offline. The data is then uploaded to the server once an internet connection is available.
